Tuesday morning and as I have breakfast we lookoutside. Looks like some fresh snow has fallen once more.
We head across the top of the quiet mountain towards Les Gets
enjoying not having to read the map for a change. Well me anyway.
now my legs want a cup of tea and no matter how enthusiastic I am I need a rest.
And so the others reach Les Gets before me. Way before me as I've just had to stop and rest for a mo.
Inram has a headache too so Luke dissapears to get him some pills to help it. Mean while we wait for the Petite Train.
Which appears not to be running so we walk across town to get to mount Cherry.
Which is dissapointing as I was looking forward to a sit down.
Of course I get one though as we head up Mount Cherry in the gondala.
Off the gondala and onto a chair lift. Isn't it quiet up here again.
At the top Luke asks if I fancy going off piste. Eh not really I'm okay on piste.
Then he stops further on and asks how about off piste through the tress? Eh even more worring. And so
Oh what a blast especialy as you fallen into a soft duvet of snow every now and again.
We eventually pop out of the trees down a small cliff and end up on a flatish road.
Luke sets off to find whch is the best way to go and phones back so we don't have to walk as far. Apparently its not the way he went and he was right as we slide down the slope towards the lifts once more.
Back at the lifts we await Lukes pressence. and then its off for dinner back a t the top of the mountain.
Well she was but has now dissapeared. Yep she's had a bad fall at speed. We hang around until she recovers.
Sarah and Jenna go down on the gondala were Inram Luke Rob and me head down the well closed run to the bottom. And its closed as usaul as there's no snow across the two road crossings.
By the time we are at the bottom the Petite Train is running once more. So we board it. Only the driver decides to have a go at Inram about something in French. and he goes on and on and on! But no one understands what about.
The driver shrugs his arms. Its seems its to do with the way he has put his snowboard on board. He shrugs his shoulders and we are off.
And all is going well until Sarah has another fall and hits her head. No problem we have a tea breakrest yah.
When we order the tea though the server is somewhat stumped by tea citron. I would go on but lets just say we got there in the end.
When we are all fit and ready we head up the mountain once more and then head over to the Nyon area.
We come up on the famous bridge where you need some speed to line up with the entrance correctly and on a snowboard hope you don't catch anyone up as thers not enough room to brake!
We sweep down the last straight where ironkly I get a kick off my noard and well flipp up and land on my arse once more.
Not hanging around I pop back up and try to catch up with everyone.
At the bottom we collect our gear togeather and head for a walk back to the apartment for a quick change
And from the apartment down the street to Robinsons Bar where a few Muztigs were drank by all.
Oddly its dark when we come out of the bar. In fact we are the last in their. I was going to get another round in but when I got to the bar the old lady was sitting inbetween a fair few boxes, polishing each glass and putting the back in the boxes looking most moody. I mentioned it to Luke who said he'd sort it out. A few more beers and apartently five more minutes to drink them in ick. From here to
beer munchies in the fish and chips shop and well more beer with the food. Luke and Jenna tell us they'll be in The Cavern bar latter if we are intrested.
