After 5 hours of traveling we could have been in Tenby but we’re not?

July-2014-0001

I packed my bags and left them in the hall way and got a lift into work with my boss.

Before you knew it 5pm had come and Les hadn’t picked me up from work. This gave me time to get a lift to the bank and back before he turned up in his Red Skoda. Once squeezed into the idle packing arrangement they had done, I sat in the back felt travel sick and arranged collection of a certain coffee table.

Sometime later after a long Les diversion to miss the stationary traffic up the M! we see a fish and chips restaurant. We are all hungry and have a Big fish at the The Fish.

Once our bellies are full and we have had a refreshing cup of tea we head off up north for mile and miles and miles. Some 5 hours later we turn up, we could be in Tenby right now but God knows where we are as I haven't taken much notice!

A hotel for the night is Harrogate Railway Athletics Football club. We are welcomed and shown were to pitch our tent in the dark. We are apparently lucky to turn up so late as it has been lashing down right up to ten minutes before we have turned up.

We get to work putting the tent up.

And once up and unpacked we head to the club house bar and drink Heineken for a few hours.

July-2014-0016

That is before we can drink no more or keep our eye open any longer.

Our now wobbly legs take us to our cosy sleeping bags….
