A new morning and I find the ticket I’d lost yesterday. Luckily they remembered the car from the dark night before and let me in anyway.

IMG_20150815_093352

Today isn’t raining, and the clouds where they are, are fluffy!

DSC02271

I make breakfast the only way you can on such a day.

DSC02272

With zero hygenie. Okay so I did use some kitchen towel.

DSC02275

So I need to come up with a plan of action.

DSC02276

We have a chat with the neighbour and then we are off. Its best not to tell the brother where we are going. He would only object.

DSC02277

As we leave the camp site I notice something.

DSC02278

Wow it is more popular here than I thought.

DSC02279

We go in and out of the on site shop, next to it is a sign board along with

DSC02280

a map. Most useful

DSC02281

I lookat the area we are and take note of the area we are heading to, and of course from.

DSC02282

And look at that. There is a post box.

DSC02285

So this is the walk we are going on

DSC02286

A route looked after by the national trust.

DSC02287

And that is what we are climbing at first.

DSC02293

My brother likes a good hill to climb.

DSC02296

The sun is out, the air is fresh and you can hear the waves inthe background. What more could you want.

DSC02305

As you look back, way wat a view, wow look how far we have come.

DSC02310

I take a seat and wait for my brother. This is where we are heading, the worms head. However there is a catch.

DSC02313

Onwards to the summit.

IMG_20150815_113840

And yes its one of those moments that don’t happen very often.

PANO_20150815_114624

Just look at that.

PANO_20150815_114647

So much for that weather forcast.

DSC02320

There is a long way to go yet.

DSC02321

And look some ruins to explore.

DSC02325

Its getting closer and he has guessed where we are going.

DSC02329

oooh look at that.

DSC02330

Wild horses.

DSC02331

As in more than one of them.

DSC02333

This is so pictureque.

DSC02337

OOh a Geo point to get to.

DSC02346

It seems popular why?

DSC02349

er I think I get the point why now.

DSC02352

And look a little lady bird hidding away.

DSC02353

Yes we are walking further dear brother.

DSC02356

Look Death Danger and Dangling on a material wing way above the ground.

DSC02360

Looks liek it is down hill from here.

DSC02368

Yep that has cheered him up.

DSC02371

And he is off!

DSC02372

Erm choices, choices.

DSC02374

So that is the way back, the way wew ill take.

DSC02385

But for now, we are heading onwards, whilst enjoying the views.

DSC02386

Its this way.

DSC02389

And off we go for a while.

DSC02399

Until I sit down and enjoy the view. And whilst doing so

DSC02412

suddenly my phone goes mad with beeping. Suddenly I have a signal. So I call the parents.

DSC02422

Can you stop and enjoy so much?

DSC02428

Well the sheep can.

DSC02429

They look so happy.

DSC02431

And so we are on our way. And when I say we.

DSC02441

He is catching me up.

DSC02444

We follow the cliffe edge closely.

DSC02449

To get the best views.

DSC02456

Well this is the last leg.

DSC02457

This is it.

IMG_20150815_132539

Hold on, that doesn’t look good. I look at the sign and I look at my watch.

DSC02462

Personally I think we can make it.
 DSC02465

My brother though, does not.

DSC02468

And so I leave it for another visit, maybe with Alan and Zoe. And

DSC02471

whilst my brother wants to head back, there are other trees to climb and I tell him we will do a circular route.

DSC02473

And so we follow the cliff coastle path.

DSC02475

Just like these guys.

DSC02480

Although my brother is not happy about leaving the cliff path like them.

DSC02482

So the bay ahead is special, it must be I’ve marked it on the map.

DSC02483

And this is the way.

DSC02487

It like having him on a long peice of elestic.

DSC02489

So this is the old path, it is closed. But not to us. My brother mutters something about it being closed for a reason.

DSC02491

He may be right.

DSC02492

Although I’m not sure what that reason may be.

DSC02494

A cliffe edge path is a cliff edge path.

DSC02496

The bay is ahead.

DSC02501

ohh it looks good.

DSC02504

Where is the way down?

DSC02505

I remember it saying it was hard to get down in the book. ooh look here it is, he’ll like this too.

IMG_20150815_140524

Sometime later with a bit of

DSC02509

this and

DSC02511

and that

DSC02515

and some swearing by him.

PANO_20150815_140407

It is time to relax!

DSC02516

He is not happy with the quality of sand.

DSC02517

I am however.

DSC02520

and settle down on a towel, have dinner and write some post cards in paradise. Here I want to return to and do nothing once more on a sunny day.

DSC02521

Apparently it is time to leave!

DSC02522

We say goodbye to the bay and

DSC02524

I try to find the path back but not the way we came.

DSC02525

I’m sure its this way. I am.

DSC02527

An as we near civilisation I see the kitesonce more.

DSC02529

As I look at te tarmac I see something familiar. Ah Stockport.

DSC02530

So we sit down for a cup of tea, to write and to

IMG_20150815_160630

enjoy some of Wales finesgt ice cream. And it certainly was.

DSC02532

Refreshed once more it was time to head back.

DSC02533

So down to the beeach we walked.

DSC02535

Although not taking the path most people were taking.

DSC02537

Its actually quiet amazing how high we were.

DSC02538

But now we are down on the beach itself, yay.

DSC02539

I love a good beach. And you know what.

IMG_20150815_163356

Yeah thats right.

IMG_20150815_163347

I love a good paddle!

DSC02549

In fact the water is so warm I decide

DSC02551

to walk the length in the water.

DSC02560

I go deeper. DSC02559

Yep my brother thinks I’m mad.

DSC02565

But this is about being by the seaside.

IMG_20150815_164548

And this feels so good.

DSC02572

Even my nuts are getting wet.

DSC02574

Splish splash splosh.

DSC02588

If only I could see those waves!

DSC02596

Yet this way looks so calm.

DSC02601

Yeah I liek it here.

IMG_20150815_172158

I might have found “another” Tenby.

DSC02604

I go asnd talk to a fisherman who is as keen to talk to me as anything. The big white house we have passed. Thats a famous Dr Who house. Is it?

DSC02606

The surf is up.

DSC02607

And for me, I’ve got to work out which dune to cross!

DSC02608

We go for this one.

DSC02609

It is not the right one.

DSC02610

But all roads lead to Rome.

DSC02611

And this one leads to the now very busy campsite.

DSC02615

I check the food supplies. Whay is for tea tonight?

DSC02614

Bacon.

DSC02612

And more Gower beer. DSC02618

Ah sauages as well.

DSC02620

I check the map on where we have been.

IMG_20150815_201934

And the sun starts to set.

DSC02625

And whilst I head back to the beach

IMG_20150815_204656

The sun has already set.

IMG_20150815_204701

The thing is, its still wonderfully beautiful.

IMG_20150815_204839

Stunningly so.

DSC02629

Like another world.

DSC02634

And the surf is still going.

DSC02635

The breeze is fresh.

DSC02642

And you can feel the life in people.

DSC02644

I find another rock and start my walk back.

DSC02647

Looks like some are set up for the night.

DSC02649

For me it is a can of larger whilst

DSC02624

watching the sky turn red and finally deep dark blackness once more. I snuggle down in my sleeping bag.
