The alarm goes off, its time to get up, settle up and well
leave. I load the car once more and get the family in.
Start the engine and we are off and into Calais.
Idrive through the center in search for a post box. Is there one?
Yes there is.
Ohhh there is a big queue to get through customs at Calais, and here we park up for a bit, moving one car forward every couple of minutes.
Eventually though we are parked up ont he dockside await to board.
We are given the all clear and drive on up the ramp with the hazard lights flashing.
It looks rough out there. Dark skies and lighting flashing every now and again. Its wet too. Very wet.
We still have our breakfast. Soemthing tells me the price has gone up again, the quality down and they are skimping on portions. That econd bit of black pudding was from my mom.
We sit on board and let the boat, rock, roll and crash and bang and wollop into the breakers.
Interesting to watch if not to feel.
I get something from the shop. Something a little different from the 3 famous Grouses they have here. I wonder if they will like it. If nothing else the bottle is nice.
Land is in sight isn’t it?
Well eventually we are called down to the car. We drive off, through the docks and up the M2.
We crusie for some miles until we get to Corley services where I’m requested to make a pit stop. I consider plugging the car in but the people with the blue car seem to be having enough trouble plugging there’s in, so I don’t bother.
As we have stoped I decide to have a burger. Then Rob and Dad want a burger.
Then my mom wants a KFC, not a Burger King burger.
Eventually I get us all home.
I get the car unloaded and then it is off to get the cat.
I do get to my own home evetually, after calling into Esso-Tesco express.
And when back I sit down, put the wasshing machine on and consider
keeping up the christmas cards for another week.
And while I refuelled the car, I walked in and brought the whole cheap shelf. I did enough shopping for the week for four pounds.
Erm this bread that cost 17p is a bit sweet. erm I like it.
