I wake up and ponder what the weather will be like behind those curtains. Did I really say I’d go up the Wrekin?
Well at least I get a lie in.
With the curtains open, the outside world looks so nice.
What is for breakfast? I put some eggs in the blender.
I put the egg in a bowl and some bread in the bowl.
Get it well coated and then
put it in the frying pan.
Until it is golden brown.
Then I go and sit with the Buddha.
Yep I might have made a slightly too big a breakfast again. There is o rush though, so I take it easy and enjoy the flowers.
I decide to take the Eunos. I quickly nip into the centre of town to get some money.
And before you know it you are at the Greenies.
Are they ready?
They should be ready, as Nack stayed in the garden too long.
Were ready now uncle Nack.
Well I’m first in Sara’s car.
And slowly they come.
Even the detective.
We head down the M54, towards that blimp on the horizon.
You could not ask for better weather.
And when we arrive it seems to be a popular place. People are parked everywhere, and the police are here ticketing everyone who has parked without consideration!
Luckily for us we get the one and only spot left in the official car park!
We gather our things and head off to find
The start of where we ae going. Oh did you know it was a volcano?
And did you know we are in the Wrekin Forest?
And so the walk starts up this path.
I have my safety contact lenses in and a straw hat with a pink flower. I’m prepared for anything. Believe me, on my prettier side it has a pink flower!
Apparently it is this way!
Sara just keep heading up, it the right way for sure.
And off goes energy legs.
Who at the top of that bit is rewarded with a rope swing.
Yah Hey I want a go!
YEs we are all extremely excited about what we are going to find at the top.
The rest and sit down are over and back to it.
Obviously the young ones didn’t get what the problem was.
Sarah got the exact same feeling as me though. But Sara if you just stop a second and look back.
Wood. I’ll leave you with that thought.
ah the summit can be seen, it is in view.
And we are going to be so lucky in that the clouds are fluffy.
And the sky is blue, here and there.
And here is
Or to put it another way, thankgod we are here.
Now did I make it to the top first?
Wherever here is, now lets just check.
Oh yeah the photo, we must take at least one photo.
And so over the top of the Wrekin we go.
To the otherside.
Where I spot somewhere to sit.
So off we march.
erm I can’t seem to get a signal. How am I going to Facebook this?
Just sit down enjoy the view, a drink and some crisps!
oh look there's that pink flower.
I choose a new route back.
Apparently the correct term is “get Down from there”
We wait while he gets down from there.
I take in the clouds.
And the natural beauty spots.
And to Sara’s pleasure we head back on the path we came up.
Some people still full of energy.
I mean still full. Lets climb a tree.
Son lets not climb a tree.
We are back at the swings. And I still want to have a go. Yes me.
But Teggy wants a go first!
Harder and then
yes she does get off to let me have a go!
And as Sara heads down the path we came up, I cough and suggest that route over there.
Yes the one know on else is using!
We should have wondered why. Well Sarah should have!
Personally I thought getting back to a nature path would have been nicer.
Someone felt differently.
In the wilderness, its all down hill from here!
Very down hill!
But you know what.
We made it back to the car park safe and sound.
And so we hit the M54, and with the Welsh Hills calling us to the west, Sara, goes the wrong way and heads to them. She seems to forget this is going to be one hell of a diversion as the motorway doesn’t end or have and junctions until Shrewsbury!
Sometime latter those with all the energy in the world.
On the way back we call into Auntie Mary’s and Auntie where we look out into their garden. Oh a squirrel.
We watch it play in the garden.
We watch it seek out the food.
We aren't the only ones watching it though.
There are others here ware of it presence.
And the gods are watching too.
Is it a Bird?
Is it a plane?
Is it a rat with a big fluffy tail?
Or is it plain cute?
Well feed is what it is!
And with all that excitement it is time to go.
I head home for tea at my parents and then off to bed
To dream nicely about the day!
