Reconfigure

DSC_3173

After yesterdays meeting at the Mersey Valley Golf Course it was good to be here. Trying to decide between hearing aid off and tinnitus or useless noise, was a bit of a dilemma. For the last couple of weeks I’ve ended up turning my hearing aid right down as the volume in my ear has seemingly increased a lot, which has coursed a situation of as I described it, the sound of hard rain on a metal roof loudly in my ear, it even tickles it inside. Unfortunately it has also increased the tinnitus noise too again, which sucks, and have come to really rely on the sounds of the hearing aid to cover it.

DSC_3175

And so after a discussion, a ear test again, a retune, a walk around town and another retune I have a more comfortable and useful right ear again. Also mentioning that program two is a complete waste of time, this being a different setting for noisy environments, I now have two new different programs, so three in all. The new one is apparently super party mode. Having driven to work in my MX5 this actually seems to work. Goodbye exhaust noise! Which is a bit of a shame really, now that I ended needed up buying a quieter exhaust to allow me to drive the car in ear comfort. DOH. Talking about exhausts, the place I have brought it has tried to deliver it to my house, several times. Which you may think is good. But I did instruct them to send it to my dads. One despairs. Anyway the card said go inline and reset up a day to have it delivered. This then came up with please ring us on this number instead. So I did. The girl was helpful enough saying it was out for delivery again today, ah right, and so I mentioned they were lucky, today I would be in until 8:30am. oh she said, we deliver between 7am and 7pm but can’t guarantee when. So I said if its not delivered by 8:30am I can guarantee I wont be in! They kindly agreed to send it to my dads tomorrow!

My Day, Dad’s Day, Our Day, Mx5 Day

DSC_3062

I wake up, it looks nice outside, and I’m feeling good. I call my dad, yay we are going out.

DSC_3061

I make breakfast and sit outside at my favourite seat, in my favourite garden.

DSC_3065

While I eat I turn on the irrigation system. DSC_3067

The garden isn’t the only thing getting wet.

DSC_3068

For a while I wander the garden, enjoying while I still can the wonderfully beautiful blooms.

DSC_3072

Its so nice here.

DSC_3081

I never thought I’d have changed the garden so much since buying the house.

DSC_3110

Once done with admiring the plants I climbed into my MX5 and went round to my dad’s.

DSC02404

Several hours later we were no longer in the Midlands.

DSC02405

We were in a convoy of MX5 cars.

DSC_3113

And one Bentley!

DSC_3114

We are directed to a field

DSC02412

Where line dancing of parked cars was happening.

DSC_3117

And so I joined them in my Eunos Roadster VR Ltd Combination B . Old and a bit battered she still looks good from a distance.#

DSC02421

We have a walk around while the hot air balloon is pumped up.

DSC_3122

There’s cars and

DSC02427

clean engines.

DSC02438

Some that sparkle.

DSC02440

Some that are lavished.

DSC02444

Cherished

DSC02448

And over indulged on.

DSC02451

Even in the engine bay. DSC02457

Then I come across the only other VR Ltd combination B here. And this one looks nice.

DSC02430

Inside and out. You will notice though that the air vent surrounds are missing.

DSC02429

It does have the real alloy wheels though. I have a dam good chat with the owner. This car is really nice. This car is how I brought mine some twelve years ago!

DSC02431

So very nice throughout.

DSC02459

We wander the stores, the hall, The Bristol Cars.

DSC_3128

Eventually though it is time to rest, and look what the tongue can taste.

DSC_3126

I queue,

DSC_3130

I site, on the green, soft grass and I enjoy a burger, not as good as the van made out, but enjoyable fodder never the less.

DSC_3129

I consider something for a moment.

DSC02470

And then head to the stalls, normally I end up buying the MX5 a present from the MX5 parts stall.

DSC_3132

But today I’m at the Moss stand, and I’m talking to the sales man. “So you exhaust is quieter than the MX5 one?”

DSC_3120

And while I couldn’t afford it, the price of it was unbelievably good valve of money. And yes they would deliver it.

DSC02488

While I chatted to the owner of the very nice VR, I also talk to a young lad about his project car. There was only two ways for this car to go, and it was good to see that while on a tight budget he was going to make it good.

DSC02489

This was obviously going to take a while.

DSC02498

Sometimes these projects end up good though.

DSC_3136

I climb into my own car.

DSC02509

And me and my dad head off in a noisy tone of exhaust noise.

DSC02511

And of course being so close to Bristol it would have been rude.

DSC02513

Not to have headed to the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

DSC02514

I pay the pound and head on over.

IMG_20170423_165617

Wow it is narrow!

DSC02520

Yep I’d never been here before.

DSC_3145

And once over we were lost!

DSC_3148

Many hours later we were back home, a little more deaf.

DSC02522_1

I relax in the garden for a while.

DSC_3153

Enjoying the daisies.

DSC_3155

until we go out for dinner together.

DSC_3158

Of course I nearly forgot, the plaque and yes I got one

DSC_3167

And I have to decide where to put it. There’s nothing for it, I’ll have to start a new row.

DSC_3166

yeah great. Wow, as I look at them and think back through the years.

DSC_3169

I end the night with Nathan.

DSC_3170

oh its getting romantic once more.

DSC_3172

It may not look it but truly it is.
