My First Time

DSC_4141

I get up and feel good enough to mow the lawn.

DSC_4145

And thus do so. The grass looks so good I wonder why?

DSC_4142

I erect the garden arch number two and position it. and then think.

DSC_4143

And then reposition it. Now that's better.

DSC_4147

I wander around the plants

DSC_4148

Enjoying their lasting beauty.

DSC_4149

Some little twinkles of delight.

DSC_4150

Ah I love my garden.

DSC_4151

It is all slowly maturing.

DSC_4152

And then some things are just a flop.

DSC_4153

I rearrange the seating and the kennel.

DSC_4154

And look down once more.

DSC_4156

What isn’t lush grass is lush clover.

DSC_4157

And it feels nice under foot once more following all the rain we have had.

DSC_4160

The pumpkin plant is trying but way too late.

DSC_4161

Another flower we do have though.

DSC_4163

And some more pink delights.

DSC_4164

So pink so delightfully delicate.

DSC_4165

The other pumpkin and hydro ranger.

DSC_4166

And the tiger rose still giving bloom.

DSC_4167

The nasturtium is still growing upwards.

DSC_4168

The herb garden is full of herb

DSC_4169

But that grass looks so nice.

DSC_4170

Yeah like a comfy bed.

DSC_4171

There’s a time when though you must make the most of the day and

DSC_4172

get on with some work.

DSC_4176

The grinder and sledge hammer come out to get the last large and what was hidden bits of concreate removed. One bugger of a peice up this corner.

DSC_4174

One in the center and then a little more wall foundation came out.

DSC_4175

And so the edging strips go in position for trying out.

DSC_4177

The pathway is marked out.

DSC_4178

And generally I get a bit wet.

DSC_4179

This moves, that moves.

DSC_4180

And with the front made ready

DSC_4181

I need to make some concrete. But that is for another day.

DSC_4184

I start digging the path way concrete trench.

DSC_4185

And that is where I get to. No doubt this is where I will get to for this weekend.

DSC_4186

Rog and my brother turn up but no Andy. I call him but he’s decided not to come. And so with that we head to the theatre.

Screenshot_20180921-101716

For that is where the beer festival is taking place. And while it is the 5th one here this is my first time.

DSC_4196

Having sat together all night you would think we would have nothing else to say.

DSC_4191

However none of us know what we talked about last night anyway.

DSC_4189

and so the beer tasting begins.

DSC_4192

A flick through the book.

DSC_4193

I flick through the book and decide to start with a local beer from Dunbartonshire No 37

DSC_4199

Next is number 57 Coscoroba

DSC_4200

And nice it is too.

DSC_4203

Then I go half way between the two and have 47 – Croft.

DSC_4204

Whilst these pair are thinking of something else to drink.

DSC_4206

I have number 27 yuk and then number 17 Summer Telse.

DSC_4208

It is cloudy but then

DSC_4212

its not cider, after all I don’t want to get shit faced.

DSC_4213

And thus have a plate of nachos with jalapeno peppers to soak up some of the alcohol.

DSC_4216

And while we are  having all the sevens, I might as well finish them off with number 7 Beowulf.

DSC_4217

Which turns out to be nice too.

DSC_4220

This leaves me with a dilemma.

DSC_4223

What to have next. And so I have a 14.

DSC_4225

The entertainment has started, and by that I don't mean any of us are throwing up yet....The band come on and start playing some tunes. Which is lucky, otherwise they would be standing there doing nothing but looking good.

DSC_0029

From 14 to 21 Ropetrick IPA.

DSC_0030

21 to 28,

DSC_4227

and 28 to 35 Rkid slightly hazy

DSC_4229

Which can only mean that for the next on it is

DSC_4233

42 true grit.

DSC_4231

These pair move from cider to gin.

DSC_4243

God help them

DSC_4235

DSC_4238

Mean while Rog has started to smile. Worryingly.

DSC_4239

We need more beer tokens, we get more beer tokens.

DSC_4245

And then I’m caught out. Its an IPA but it doesn’t look it or tast it. Have I been given the wrong drink?

DSC_4247

Hell no its a black IPA, it states it right there. But it tastes like stout? Not my cup of tea, as I’d have milk in it and then it would be white.

DSC_4249

And thus we move on to Great Dan number 56.

DSC_4251

Just for a moment I admire Rog’s watch.

DSC_4254

And this is it, this is the last one, I’ve made to, to the last one. number 6363 pack horse. If you get it, I got it, we got it. Together we get it

DSC_4257

I think I may have heard of this one, as they play..

DSC_4259

I sing myself to sleep a song from the darkest hour, Secrets I can't keep, in sight of the day swing from high to deep extremes of sweet and sour Hope that God exists I hope, I pray

DSC_4261

With it all ending I cheekily go to the bar with a quid left on the card.

DSC_4266

They gave me a 21 for 30p

2018-09-23_07-14-22

What a great night, happy daze.

DSC_4271

Some ideas are good some ideas are bad. Yes we are in a curry house and yes Rog ordered beer so we followed suit.

DSC_4272

Not that any of us wanted beer.

DSC_4273

needed beer or anything else.

DSC_4274

two curry's in a row, I’m going to regret this.

DSC_4275

And believe it or we managed to get home. How I’m not sure. My brother doesn’t remember getting home, nor does he remember stumbling all over the drive work and knowing the stuff over. I’m going to be so hung over……………………..
