How It All Ended

2018-12-30_12-18-27

With the drive in mind, this is how it all began.

DSC_7340

Great while the car was parked on the drive as it hid most of the odd and broken slabs.

DSC_7342

But the difference between then and now..

DSC_7139

Now it looks great in comparison. Part two is yet to be done from the gate onwards. But for now I’m having some time off the drive work. The important bit is done. Like the drive so much has changed over the last 12 months. Things are good, things are better. And that I will continue to rebuild on. How will next year end? Why don’t we find out how this year ended first?

I head off to get some provisions for the day.

DSC_7282

I have seen more flashing lights on this cars dash than on my Christmas tree. The passenger rear wheel ABS sensor has stopped working. I have ordered a replacement.

With provisions and some washing up liquid I get the flower power dispenser out and on the job of cleaning the pea shingle at the front..

DSC_0045

We get a nice foam, and the caustic should slow down weed growth in the dirt. After all it is only washing it downwards.

DSC_0048

With the job done it is so much cleaner. I wash away the excess sand and admire.

DSC_0051

I plant up my hanging baskets with winter pansies and

DSC_0054

put some in my borders to brighten them up.

DSC_0055

I plant a Jasmin plant by the rose by the door too.

DSC_7287

Yes that is great.

DSC_7294

I move the car onto the driveway.

DSC_7291

A while later it is time to go out.

DSC_0059

I head to the New Hall Arms with my brother.

DSC_7295

While my cloths are drying from the washing earlier my innards are getting wetter. We have a couple of pints and then

DSC_7302

head to the postbox.

DSC_7301

It feels like I’m in Europe somewhere.

DSC_7305

And from there we go to bar sport.

DSC_7307

As it happens I don’t think I’ve been in here before. They have a huge burger selection, and a good looking breakfast.

DSC_7308

They also have a Chieftain tap, although there is no beer in it!

DSC_0060

We wander to Trade to Play and then the Weatherspoon's

DSC_7311

As we all know, you should never go shopping when drunk, you will only end up buying more beer.

DSC_7317

We cross the square to The Royal Oak.

DSC_7320

They even have a disco on here.

DSC_7325

We enjoy the warm temperature of the beer garden, and the lights. It is lovely.

DSC_7330

At some point we go home. I cook up a chilli for tea using some dynamite.

DSC_7329

Erm smells wonderful, and when served up it was amazing.

DSC_7331

I got the Moet out to go with it, and once tea was eaten I fell asleep on the sofa, yep that's how it ended.
