Well today is the BIG day. The day we planned to go as far as you can over towards the Val D'Isere side, to the village of Le Fornet 1930 and to the peak of the Col De L'Iseran and its glacier area.

Well what can you say, there are blue skies and the sun is out. Is the snow melting away?

Once at eh top of thde Rocher De Bellevade we decide to do the famous Black run down into Val D'Isere - the face.

Well is it steep do you ask. Well just look at the bloody photo for god sake!

Well there you go a video of part of it too.

The way up is easier but were not going that way.

Got cross Val and up the Solais Express to the Solais area.

We go further up on the Madeleine Express. Matt posses next to the lift.

At the top Matt posses next to the sign but why? Well its over the top of the next mountain on the Leissiers Express and onto the Col De L'Iseran Valley.

Nack are you getting a case of da jar vu? What do you mean?

Like you Nack may have been here before? What makes you say that then?

We stop at the mid point in the valley for refreshments and....

To watch the helicopter do its stuff.

Once refreshed we decide to do the black run down to the very bottom. That is until we look down the Fronet run and then change our minds and go down the blue instead!

Which was a lot nicer to do thankgod but brought on another case of de jar vu.

A lot les snow I think though.

Well its up the cable car I guess. Mind this looks fimilar as well.

Well well well.

And so we board the cable car to the mid point and then change onto a gondala to take us to the top of Col De L'Iseran.

We go right to the top glaicer area and even go on the T bar lift which surprising isn't a struggle for me or Matt. The views up here are wonderful, breathtaking. You can see the Gand Motte where we have come from and.....

Look those buildings there. I've been here before.

Look that church in the middle of know where.....

I was here with Les, in 2001 when we did the Grand Tour De Euorpe.

Think the snow was deeper back then int eh summer of 2001!

We have a play on the many blue runs over here.

Berfore making our way back over the mountain to the Solais area and down towards Val D'Isere.

I take a moment to enjoy the veiw over Val and down the valley to the Lac Du Chevril.

Its been a long day so we decide to go out....

To the fish tank, however the drinking games are not played thankgod!

Well what do you know. Apart from the night before becoming very blurry the night after leaves us tired and hungover. Me with a thumping head. The fresh cold air is great when on the lifts but once moving, hell my head thumps.

As we go up Tuffs we once more see the Grande Motte is closed. So we can't go high to the glacier.

The top of the world is most refreshing and we take our time.

We have an early lunch and eat lots of cake each! And I have highly sugared tea. It doesn't work but tastes out of this world.

At the top of the GrandPrix run we take it somewhat easier!

The weather stays fantastic with blue blue skies and lots of sun.

We decide to get nearer home and head back to Tignes area and over the village and up Col Du Palet.

Hangovers gone and recovered we are ready for action.

With the Grattalu chair lift out of action and a huge que we consider the drag for a moment.......

But we have a brain wave and head up this quiet, slow lift instead. Where's it go Matt?

Ah the Les Spot and some off piste black runs great, my headache comes back.

Ojnce at the top things don't look so terrifying. Why black I ask myself????

Welll if you thought that black was terribly exciting and most steep, at least the GRizzly bar prices could bring you back down to earth. How much Matt? 8 Euros each, your kidding arn't you?

That night Matt teaches me how to cook a Lasagna, well from the bathroom cuz he was having bath at the time, and yeah I may have had too much to drink....

What do you mean there's a taste of beer to it. Maybe thats the cheese and beer sauce. oh you didn't mention putting beerin the cheese sauce ;)

Today we nip over the mountain to La Daille and ride up and down that area!

Yep another beautiful day of sun sun sun and so over the top of the mountain we go and head down the valley to La Daille

The first time we use the red cupe du monde OK

Eventaully though we decide to come down the same valley but on the side which allows you to get back up on the funicular. This being the Orange run down. Interesting I fell, however the other two were far enough back for me to get me camera out. Low and behold Matt falls at the same icy patch and.....

starts to come down on his back side.....

Hes not stopping in fact hes getting faster!

He's even smiling for the camera!

Now here just showing off...

A 180 spin on the bum!

Head first at speed is always scary mate!

He begins to slow down.

But he's not stopped yet.

Well that was spectacular. Better than you can ever hoped for and well worth a round of applause! Well done mate.

And we get a trip on the Funicular.

Matts confidence is still with him though. No he has lost his MOJO ;)

A view of the valley torward Val D'Isere.

The conditions are perfect.

And we zipp from slope to slope.

Its time to make it back home over the mountain and so head to the Borsatt Express right at the top. Beautiful untouched snow.

I don't know about you but I think we deserve a drink ;)

And perhaps act like clowns....

And so into the fish tank we go!

Its quiet in here but I can sense things are going to get out of hand later on..... Oh here come the black lesbians......

We move to crowded house. Things need spicing up competivitely and we end up drinking 3 pints in tens minutes. Mind my wallet is bulging now but so is my stoamch. With one final attempt Matt tries to win some moeny back. I however need to slow things down so the fourth I decided to change the rules. Yep you must drink your pint as quickly as possible through the straw!

3-2-1 GO.

Now does anyone remember what happened that night!

Well I'm happy at least!
