A night in a Belguim beer house

Well I did some shopping with my mom and then before I headed to Stockport I had some grub and some strawberry angle delight, yummuy yum yum. Then I got my top down and went for a ride up the motorway.

I parked up and headed tot he railway station.

From here I was going to Altrincham to meet Alan and Zoe.

While I was waiting at the station I decided to read the Virgin customer information board on photography.

And here we are. The reason to come. The Belgium beer festival. Unbelievably there are 3 Belgium pubs around the corner from each other.

And when we are done drinking in the pub, we head round Georges after stopping at the chippie for curry sauce, OK sauce and three bags of chips. Thats was to go with all the beers we were taking back from the pub! On came the PS3 and

Alan went to sleep. A few hours latter we all went to sleep - I believe.

The Royal Wedding

Woke up the morning of the Royal Wedding and thought , I'm going to watch it after all. I mean this is history we are living now.

So I sat excitedly with some of the family watching the box.

And thought If this is on BBC one then we could change the channel so that they can see the dress in more detail!

And then I pondered if it was being broadcast in Dolby Digital. And guess what.

It was, so with the surround sound on it sounded as if we were there

And before you new it they were married.

And then the happy couple drove around the block to wave at the crowds.

After that they disappeared in doors for a while having some photos taken I guess.

So I went to get my granddad and guess what, I missed the double kiss on the balcony!

And so the house party began, the BBQ lite

The beers brought out

The garden games played

Until it got dark

And there as no more BBQ food left

So we went inside for more beer and to watch an awful film which when it came out didn't seem so bad...

Yep I married an Axe Murder, erm how appropriate.

The Maypole Cycle Carrier

So I went out to get a 3 Cycle Carrier and came home with this one by Maypole of Birmingham.

Universal - or universaly awkward to get in the right position

Once right

And tight

One needs to note the right hole to have it in.

I lift the Y-Frame bike on and think

Well at least it fits on. That I didn't expect!

Can't say I like it. What will it bve liek with 3 bike on it?

So its an option. Although for the main jouney I think I'll be taking the wheels off and putting it in the car or the boot (if it will fit - this anit no Vauxhall Cavalier)

It will be nice and tight to get 3 more on

Just got to make a new number plate up now

PS1 retro heaven

DSC09924, originally uploaded by nackuk.

Well here we have a bundle of PS1 games I got off Ebay. I have been quickly shoving them in my PS3 to play them, thinking how shocking the graphics are. Then I remembered a magazine artical that said that playing PS1 games on the PS3 actually made the graphics worse. SO I powered up the PS1 and sure enough things were a bit better. Notably though some of them were far more playabe at the right speed. Well there are some right crap game sin this lot, but also some good ones and some classics. I might well go through my collection now and resell some of the more undelightful games and keep the ones I like and the ones I used to own. And so the games I liked here were; Rayman, V-Rally, Driver, Aliens, Destruction Derby 2, er tats it I think! Ok I might keep the Die hard Triolgy but its well dated shite. And oh I forgot what games were like without the anaolgue controls. Shikes......

Tomb Raider Trilogy

DSC09923, originally uploaded by nackuk.

Well I have them all on the PS1 and Legend on the PS2 which is amazing quality on the PS2. But now I have Tomb Raider Anaversary and Legend on the PS3. It make the original PS1 version look so silly, and Lara moves so much easier. Can't wait to get to T-Rex.

For those who don't know though Tomb Raider Annivisary has been tweeked somewhat. The map layout isn't the same as the original and neither is the story. And that is because this was to make these 3 games work properly as Triolgy rather than a stand alone games. I'm going to be busy.

Dear John

DSC09925, originally uploaded by nackuk.

Well the last Blue Ray to turn up was Dear John, another random selection but I actually loved this film. The romance of writing instead of typing. Ahh. Well its a totaly soppey film base on a Nicholas Sparks Novel. Loved watching it though.

One of those cracking little UK films that should be watched, enjoyed and not missed. Not great though just not missed.

Chaninging to Goodyear Efficentgrip for F1's

The MOT is due and with a quick look over the car I decided it was time to replace the tires on the front which have 5 years of service. So goodbye to the 195 / 50 R15 Goodyear F1's which stick to the road like glue and hello.....

to Goodyear Efficentgrip. Meant to be one of there premium tyres so lets hope they do grip.

No sporty V pattern on these. We'll just have to see how they do and at £58.00 each fitted at Bannings in Birmingham a dam good price to considering Black Circles offer them for £66.58 and I just pulled in off the street! Who says the Internet is cheaper ;)
