This months car mechanics is out and although on the front cover is an MX5 (mkII pah…..) the centre section is for the Skoda Superb MkI – way hay. I’d like to say an interesting 5 page read but I know it all already!

I saw thus in the sun today, I can remember when we used to get a pint in the exchange for 99p. We all know beer prices have gone up, and a pint is now quiet pricey for what it is, in fact is it worth it? What isn't worth it is giving the tax man a whole quid of the cost for doing nothing. They seem to worry about binge drinking, well I'm nut surprised people neck a bottle of vodka before going out.

I put a disc in and what was on it, a film called Cabin In the Woods. I hadn’t heard of it and yet another Love Film randomly selected film. I looked at it and thought another horror based in a cabin in the woods. Even more disappointing was the Zombies.
Yet this film turned on its and changed completely into a film that I was not expecting and thus watched it all the way through. I can’t say it was great. I can’t say it was good. What I can say is that I wanted to see how it would end. And it doesn’t have a complete happy ending,

Well I’ve been playing Silent Hill on the PS3 (a PS one game) for 7 hours and 11 minutes before I finally finished it. And here is some of the ending. And this isn’t the only ending depending on what you’ve done, how well you’ve done, or if you are completing it for more than the first time. I will be honest and tell you I used a walk through which without I cannot see how I finished it the first time round on the PS1. Anyway I loved every moment of it, the graphics are slightly improved on the PS3 with its smoothing etc. So here is the final door.
And through begins the end of the story
Then we are back on the landing before going to the basement. Nothing good is ever going to happen in the basement but there is no other route, So you have to climb the incredibly long staircase down to the basement. ahhhhh
Here meet up al the character and blood is then spilled.
and the story of what the game is about is told.
It was well worth getting here to get the explanation.
How is this I wonder?
And what is this red stuff being thrown around.
here comes the…..
The first time he killed me but so close I tried again giggle.
And then it was all over… but was it, no it all starts again….
And this is how well I did the first time round.
For those of you with an optimate 4, there is a bigger one for bigger batteries called the optimate 5. So I put this on my Diesel Skoda Superb and within a few hours it was recharged.
I spent a lazy Sunday afternoon with the Poade’s enjoying playing with them. For some reason they thought I was no good at the games, but I thought you are meant to let the children win?
That was oh course until she had enough of winning and then want to watch Lola and Charlie.

Thursday at work I saw an email titled mufti. Ah the mufti reminder as tomorrow is the last Friday of the month. So this morning a selected a pair of jeans and this briilant bright pink T-shirt. Oh course when I got to work and noticed no one else was wearing mufti and the barrage of did you not read your email did I find out it wasn’t a reminder but an email postponing mufti for a couple of weeks. Ah well….

The quiz team went out for dinner and as long as I drove I could join them. And so we went to the Bradford Arms for tea and and a quiz.
Well this is my main course which I could not actually finish as my starter was so big. I truly struggled.
I can’t eat it all either exclaimed Les.
Eventually the quiz started. And went on and on. My answer of the night though was Zipo lighter for the question what item Z L is uniquely designed for each new navel ship. Well all I can say about Les answer of 5 million is did China really exist back then to make all those scrabble sets????

Luckily for some I didn’t get up until 14:10 on Sunday. I know this as I was alseep until my brother called me and woke me up! I got up just in time to go to the Blossoms for dinner at 3pm!
Although when we turned up they had sold the lot. But for us they would put another joint in if we would wait 30 minutes. And out came the games.
When dinner came it was worth the wait. There was a silence.
And then a groan.
Well that was mighty fine. We played some more games before heading back to play more games with the extension pack, not so good and watched some Red Dwarf. Before you knew it it was 20:30 and time to leave for home. I was one tired boy after a very enjoyable weekend.
Saturday, February 16, 2013
Well Saturday I wasn’t woken up thank god so I managed to get my 8 hours sleep I so desperately need. And when I do get up everyone is already down stairs dressed.
And my first cup of tea was so welcoming.
We played some video games and then moved onto some Table Top Games
I enjoyed paying with the counters.
As you can see I was dam good at this game.
I even had George scratching his head on how come he could not beat me!
Alan and Zoe left to cook up some tea and
so I played with the toys in the house. See this. I got to get one myself!
And then I played with the laser lights.
Totally wicked. We had to enjoy tea quickly though as
we had to catch a train into Manchester. Alan had got some tickets for the Dutch Uncles at the Gorilla. And so we got on the train…
And got off at Oxford street, suddenly it feels like I’m going back in time.
So so we are are in some underground railway line arches venue with the worlds largest fans over head trying to keep the crowd cool. As Alan and Zoe would put it we were subjected to the initial band although I preferred them to the Dutch Uncles.
Alan would not except this comment though?? and wouldn’t tell mewho the actual support band were,
And so the Dutch Uncles came on stage.
The music played
And this wasn't;t from Zoe’s camera it was from the the strobe lighting effects!
Luckily they were good enough not tot watch but to listen too whilst your eyes were closed.
It would appear Alan got us tickets for their last show on the tour. This was it, this was the encore.
We then left and headed to a pub ‘round the corner’ for a pint and some well retro gaming as that seemed to be this pubs theme.
Lets just our playing was not good. Must have been the position of the joystick.
Alan and Zoe took me on a walk around Manchester and then back to almost where started. And into the FAB Cafe we went. Here we have the DJ set which is based on the Star Trek command area. Blankes 7 was playing in the back ground…..
And on the dance floor all the good tunes were played.
And played and played. They even played some Depeche Mode, and I never asked them too.
It was one FAB Time.
But we all need to go to bed eventually.
Shocking two too late nights in a row….
