As I get off the chu chu and sit in the open green house I ponder if I have made the right decision, right now it doesn’t feel like it.

The sun is shining on me, and the warmth of the its power can be felt on my skin. It is only once more that I leave the glazed area that I feel that icy chill in the air the. Yes I have, if its that cold here it would be colder higher up. And by altering my plans of not going to the Lake District altered the plans that go on from there. For one I was now going out that night for a meal and quiz.

Of course as we got to 5pm London Midland had a very different idea of me being home by 6:30pm. And so I go and ask one of the girls if I can have a lift home. She said yeah not a problem and then went on to ask if I had seen the Peter Kay program last night? Nope I said I haven't I don't watch TV. Then remembered if it was the one about car sharing and pointed out I’d seen one of them on IPlayer on Sunday. She said yep the one about car sharing, and then she pointed out the girl in the car pee’ed on the bloke she was car sharing with. As it happens this was the one I’d seen and all I could say to this “what are you suggesting? Your going to pee on me on the way home?” This obviously got some sniggering from the “co-workers” in the background. Once everyone had settled down and was up and leaving we went to the car park. I was disappointed at first to find out she hadn’t brought her Porsche Boxster and but were in a normal tin car. She unlocked the doors and I got in and sat down and closed the door. I took a deep breath and could smell the intense rubber smell from the car matts and as she got in and closed the door I said" “erm rubber matts, always useful for when peeing on people”. As it happened she still took me home and we listened to Simon Mayho and his team titter on about sausages and wood and them not being able to stop giggle or us. At home I quickly got changed, changed the bed sheets and put the washing machine on.

Even though I had that dry ride home, I still turned up at the Bradford Arms late. Everyone one was there, but luckily the girl on the table next to them had pointed out that the trains had gone to pot from Birmingham to anywhere north bound. And hence they were in the know.

The Bradford Arms has an extensive menu and I’ve never not had a bad meal here. And today like Sunday I have pate. Only today I like the pate, and I’m hungery and its plentiful. Its nice its delicious.

And for mains I ordered a Steak and Ale pie. I expected it to not be a real pie, but to be in dish with a pastry lid. Now that does my head in, thats not a pie. What I get though is one stag further from the real truth of a pie. It comes on a plate, the filling that is, and then on the plentiful filling is the pastry lid. What I can say is that this steak and ale stew is truly tastefully delicious. I mean as in give me more more more more. Ahhhhh wonderful. So this time I can forgive them, but maybe they could just call it what it is?

And once our bellies where full we played the quiz and came second. It is a royal wee though as I would have not know most of them! Once I’m back home at midnight I put the bike rack on my car and decide its time for bed and I’ll pack in the morning.

Body Rubbing

AsI get ot the kitchen and look out, its raining. Now that sucks. It may be good for the plants, but its certainly going to get that grass growing that I mowed yesterday. Of course the real reason it sucks is because of the fact I’ve go to walk to the station.

It wasn’t that wet really, just very very very cold. I get a seat, some don’t, and open my book to Victorian times.

In the metro I read how the railway staff use planes and not trains, and I think they are hinting at something.

Whilst there is also a report on Clegg saying “don’t vote labour, don't vote conservatives, do vote Ukip. On the way home I get the train to Walsall, I go all the way to Walsall and once there, decide i need a big bang of crisps. I go to Marks and Spencer and consider them too expensive. I buy a pack on other at £1.60, I just couldn’t wait until Morrisons. I sat on a bench, on the platform, full of people, me next to a person on the phone, me munching away, merrily, me thinking she is thinking I wish he’d stop munching. I do but only when the packet is empty. I still there my fingers cold, my nose cold and I’m making that decision. It won’t be pleasant if we go? I want ot go though, I want to climb the Gabriel. For a moment my mind is taken off this and the cold chill, for a change the train is a two carriage train and we all know that means a lot of body rubbing, it pulls up and I prepare myself for some physical activity and sweaty bodies. That is if we can all squeeze on. Breath in and the doors close. Luckily I stand somewhere where someone wants to get off at the next stop. A bit more body rubbing and I’m in their seat – which they haven't even left yet.

At home I relax and call my brother, and ponder what he thinks, if he thinks about it. The outcome is it is postponed. Which leads onto another thing which I wonder if the offer is still open or not. I text them to see and add a wink. Mean while I call my parents as I’d like my other car back, they will come and so I wait. But I know I’m going to be waiting so I get some plaster out and get on with it.

So this could be it this could be repaired when dry.

And under the window sill is looking better now. I reskim a few areas in preparation for the big sand down one day.

I open my post and what has come is Another World on the Sega Mega drive, Two new batteries for my Ps3 controllers as they have gone dead and won’t recharge. and then the parents come.

We head back home and I have my tea there, talk to my dad about drills and carbon brushes and arrange to go out with them on Thursday night.

When I do go home I quickly nip up to retro room.

shove in the game ready to play.

here we go, some excitement, and with that Zoe texts back.

One thing has to be said, the graphics are poor, poorer than I remember!

shocking very shocking!

Travelling Memorabilia

the chu chu comes like it always does, but know one knows where it may stop. Its how exciting things can be with the train, well this one at this platform. This train terminates here, and then goes back on it’s self. Some to Birmingham, some to Wolverhampton and some to Liverpool. I fancy a journey to Liverpool one day on the London Midland chu chu.

What I forgot yesterday was to clear and tidy my desk area this morning. I just forgot, some special visitors today apparently. Here we have Pauls desk, a person that is messier than me and has put me to shame. Shame on me.

Whilst cleaning I find some of that Locktite Alan needed. About £80 worth here!

When I get home I decide the grass needs cutting, if I don’t do it now it won’t get done for at least a week, by which time it will be forest length. I swiftly shoot up and down the garden.

And then fit a hook and eye to the side garage door, to stop it banging open and shut when its in use. Well it will stop the banging noise which I ‘m sure drives the neighbours mad. Then I put the correct number plate on the bike rack, in preparation for the weekend, should it warm up.

My dad drops the second, second hand drill off.

A Clarke CON1500RHD SDS. Will it be any good?

Also delivered is a new BBQ. I must have been mad. And a new throw.

Whilst I was in the garage I picked up the box with my travelling memorabilia mugs and glasses in. Some 7 months living here I finally put them out.

I do ponder where to put the mugs though?

And they appear to be a spiders graveyard. Why did they like them so much?

For now I put them on the kitchen shelf, by which time its nearly 10pm. I am tired and weary. There is only one thing for it.

Haddock and chips from the chips shop. Ohh my, how am I going to to eat all this?

With dinner done, I go onto the internet, pay my car tax, pay for JK-Images web site renewal and do some shopping. All I have got to do now is work out how to pay the car insurance. With that I note that NPower have not yet responded to either query. Will they? I ponder, I close my eyes and dream sweet dreams.

Take A Break Tiredness Can Kill

For some reason I have not slept well, all night I kept waking, all night I couldn’t get to sleep and now its time to get out of bed, I’m that tired I feel ill, in a way. I eventually get out, and I’m slow, and fumble at everything. And by the time I’m dressed and had breakfast there isn’t any time left to pack any lunch.

Luckily it is nice outside, a bit chilly, but that's a good thing, it wakes me for a bit. I meet Aldi girl, who has enjoyed her hotwater and had a bath this weekend and have a chat. It wakes me up a bit and then I sit all too comfortably on the train and read my book. It is descriptively lovely, if I have had to get used to it following the love of Copland.

At Walsall I suddenly remember that my pass has run out and head up tot he ticket office to get it renewed, goodbye sixty quid.

the morning at work is hard, hard because my body is telling me to go to sleep, to sleep now, to not think, and to think is causing me a headache. At dinner time I had to the canteen and buy dinner at £4.50, which is why I don’t come here anymore and tend to walk to the chip shop. I perk up a bit for the afternoon and ponder where the morning has gone.

I get a seat on the way home, read for a short time and relax. But not too much, I don’t want to go past Cannock.

I get home and head to my bed. Lye down and close my eyes for a bit. This is what I need. And after a short sleep I wake and look at my phone, one of the things I find is there is a local Cannock radio station.

I download the app and listen to it in the background. It is truly not to my musical tastes, that's for sure!

Eventually although still wacked I decide it to be a good idea to get something done, and so I get to grips with mixing some plaster for the problem areas. A thick gooey mix.

I do the bit under the window sill.

And the hard to reach places too.

And then I do by the door which can you believe was lucky.

As when I came in a few hours ago I left my key in the door, AGAIN! I only discovered this when the door was in the way and I opened it! I have got to stop doing this.

I fill the area where there must have been a lock once.

Put another coating on the window sill area and

skim plaster the end wall and over the doors on the landing. A lot of tidying up later and I head to the kitchen.

I throw some matured pasta into the wok, bring to the boil. For once whilst cooking I don’t just end up talking to myself. I put a jar of Lloyd Grossman's cookin sauce into it, which worryingly has garlic in it and I hope, I pray that it doesn't just taste of garlic.

As it happens it doesn't its nice, I have some orange juice and I’m just about able to keep my eyes open to eat it.

I climb the stairs for my comfy bed, if I wasn’t tired before I am now, I am now so looking forward to my bed.
