Dig Deep

DSC_4818

Today I’m meant to be doing the drive, as it is raining though, I’m not. My mom and dad come round and we go shopping in the town center.

I’m not sure what dragon fruit is, I put one in my basket.

It’s not the only thing I don’t know, there is also something called Pepino Melon. I get two.

Over to the butchers I get some bacon, chicken chilli burgers, a pork joint and some faggot’s.

Regrettably it looks like John Booth the Butcher is closing after next weekend.

We finish the shopping and head for some lunch.

I ponder for a moment which cake I’m going to have.

A pot of tea is ordered along with some food.

DSC_4826

I plumb for the cod and chips.

DSC_4824

Which is yummy, but just too filling.

DSC_4822

In fact I’m too full to have any cake!

At home I unpack my shopping

And put the faggots away. With all this food on my mind I go and get out my spade.

DSC_4838

It may be windy, but it has dried up and is perfect to do some digging.

DSC_4840

Although I’m not sure what to do with all the soil?

DSC_4842

I cover the trench up although I do ponder what

DSC_4839

this pipe is? Could it be the gas main. I’m sure they ran the new unused blue waterline down the center of the drive.

DSC_4837

Well at least I got one of the two trenches dug.

I tidy up and get ready to visit my Grandad in hospital. Oh hell look at the time…
