I look out of the window, yep today is construction day.
When my dad turns up we head to Wickes and I get my credit card out.
Load one later we have 9 bags of concrete, gravel and sharpe sand.
Load two and the credit card is feeling very bruised and we also get some tarmac.
Back at the site I get digging the front edge to make it deep and wide enough for the concrete that needs to be bedded in. This makes the soil pile bigger still.
A lot of concrete making is in progress and some time later.
I’m knackered. Very knackered.
The front edging strip though is in.
We look at the fact it needs to drop by two bricks not one. And this is where it ends as I’m just too nacked to continue. I kid you not. Concrete mixing by hand is hard work and I’ve done 15 bags.
Realising the job is going to take a long time I decide to reposition the slabs for now as I’m already fed up of dirt being taken into the house.
Even though I’m knackered the grass is long, so I give it a mow.
And then wander the garden so green.
The flowers still flower, oddly enough.
I decide the beds need a good weeding. The decision wasn’t a hard one, they actually just needed weeding badly.
It all looks so much tidier now.
Now you can see the soil again.
Buddha is still here.
Looks so much tidier.
And that there apple, that was so sweet and tasty.
ohh there is another for later.
And I’m not sure what this stuff is, but it grows well here and up the top of the garden.
I chop down the last of the lilles.
They look so odd like this.
