I get up and make a bacon sandwich, I go to see the cat, ah there she is,
sitting in the chair.
I wonder if she’ll be stroked today.
ah look at that.
and thus hang around a while.
It is good to see her happy
And thus the search for spok must start.
I climb into my dad’s car and we head north.
Stopping at Macclesfield Sainsburys for a bit of shopping, before reaching Romsley.
Is this Spok?
We take it for test drive for an hour,
All seams okay
I do a HPI check on the machine.
Which seams to be okay
So will I buy it? I’m tempted. It has the cream interior I like, I like the external colour, it has the built in sat nav and cruise control.
This is however a PD 140 2 litre engine, and not all these were VAGS finest moments, the early ones died without exception. This is a couple of generations on, being a BMP unit. Perhaps more worrying was the fact that while it had been serviced and the book stamped, the timing belt should have been replaced some 5 years ago, and is now ten years old.
I later confirm this car’s engine isn’t for me, I’m going to hold out for a CR engine, away from the PD’s oil pumps hex drive fiasco of VAG’s engineer excellence. My 2003 engine would last forever but these, who knows, it would appear to be a gamble? And I’m taking one from 100K to 200K so I need something reliable. So why then am I looking at a Vag car at all?
On the way home I go to Morrisons, get some cat food and weekly shop. I throw some of it in the wok.
With some chicken, what comes out is unimaginably wonderful. So goo in fact I eat both portions.
I slip a disc in and get ready for an experience that I’m not actually ready for.
Is this film weird?
