She Fires Up

DSC_9153

Well thankgod for that weather warning. I’m completely snowed in. Good news. Won’t be working on the drive then, or the fence for that matter.

DSC_9154

I get some, some music going as I cook breakfast and start the household tasks I should have done yesterday.

DSC_9161

Once they are all done…..

DSC_9166

I get the hot poker out.

DSC_9167

Only time will tell if this works.I think its not working because it is a PAL B model as used in Europe and not PAL I for Britain.

DSC_9168

Goodbye modulator, and in goes some wires.

DSC_9169

A little out of practise with the hot poker.

DSC_9171

But in the end the job is a good one.

DSC_9175

Neatly done.

DSC_9176

And now to take some wires to some output sockets. I get the drill out and

DSC_9181

Done.

DSC_9189

Now for  the magic bit, I plug it in.

DSC_9186

I connect the composite wires to the TV and press the power button. The green light comes on.

DSC_9185

Oh my god, she has fired up.

DSC_9187

This can’t be good, I’m going to need more shelf space!!!!

DSC_9190

Live baby live, we have a working Atari 7800 unit. And the great thing about these is not only do they play Atari 7800 games but also the classic 2600 games too. Can you imagine all those blocks!!!!
