I get up for my breakfast, before my dad gets here.
Sometime later the neighbour comes round and
the fence panels are swapped. They are a tight fit. Which isn’t actually a good thing. So we have one panel left and that is a good thing. As I said one broke slightly and thus has been left at the bottom of the garden for now. Mean while a lot of wood has been burnt, and I now have just the main beams pile to burn. Let the carbon out.
Meanwhile, I have dug the original work up my dad did yesterday, Put the edging strips in, mixed loads of concrete by hand, fixing the edging strips in position with concrete, relayed the edging pavers and now my dad has started the pavers. We have got to this point when we need to stop. Well my dad leaves with a list for Screwfix and to disappear with my mom.
Mean while i get the Big Boys Toys out and
with the SDS drill start drilling two holes through the extra hard bricks the house is made off.
Some time later we have two great holes and
a plastering job to do.
For today though, that is it. I put the two good old fence panels on freecycle and the 11 slabs I have, and
have a rest in the garden.
Here the plants are loving the sunshine
the great moment of sunshine
on a bank holiday.
At last this job is truly moving towards the end.
and with that
I prepare the fire and I'm tired from mixing all that concrete. So here we go…
And get ready to play Jenga.
